'We Provide Services to Design Heat Pumps and do all the MCS Government Standard Paper-Work and Heat Calculations needed, as well as just Installing them!'.
"Heat loss calculations allow heating systems to be correctly sized, emitter systems to be optimised and the thermal elements of building construction to be improved intelligently. With an accurate heat loss calculation the annual energy consumption can be predicted and modelled to provide the best system possible.
Heat loss calculations are essential for compliance with the Micro generation Certification Scheme (MCS) making sure renewable heating systems are designed to provide year round thermal comfort and an energy efficient system."
We will Come round and do a Site Survey first which takes 1-2 hours depending on the size of your house, to design the system, with what is needed where, so everything will run as energy efficiently as possible - this is charged at £300 for the Site visit and this charge is taken off the final quote if you chose to go with us, but non refundable if you do not go with us, as this involves a lot of time and work getting this calculation correct.
- Then we will take measurements of all your rooms, radiators, Insulations, windows and doors, and ask details about the age of the house and how many people are living there and using the energy - We can use any Floor Plans you may have of your property and we will check you have an up-to-date EPC (Energy Performance Certificate) - so we can create MCS Full Heat Loss Calculations -
These Calculations will enable us to send you a Quote which includes the correct sized Heat Pump you will need for your property and any radiator upgrades you may need, for the heat pump to run at its most energy efficient lower temperature, saving you the most money on your bills - The most efficient way of running a heat Pump is to install either Underfloor Heating or Skirting Board Heating. We can also install a High Temperature Heat Pump which means you won't need any radiator upgrades as it runs at the same flow temperature as a Gas Boiler (but it won't be so energy efficient and your bills will be a 30-40% higher).
For Heat Pumps are all about using less energy so we will also send you a Performance Estimate for your forecasted bills comparing your current fossil fuel heating system with a Heat Pump - and we can do these price comparisons with a Heat Pump running with say an underfloor heating, or say 4 radiator upgrades, or with a high temp heat pump, which all have differnet Energy efficiencies and SCOP levels. Generally a Heat Pump is 3-5 times more efficient than an Oil Boiler, and runs for double as many years. So a good long term investment.
Once the System is Designed, and if you have accepted the Quote, we will do all the paperwork involved to apply for funding via the Boiler Upgrade Scheme if you wish to gain a £5-6000 Grant, register the Installation with all the Government Bodies so you are insured and protected, we will take care of registering your product warranties, and provide you with a completion folder that has all this paperwork in and manuals and care take of your products - including when they need servicing.
